The SP 8500 is our biggest selling mid-size spreader, ideal for use with our trailer or truck use, and features the top quality Vee-Maxx drive system.
This gritter is powered directly from the vehicle electrics. It has an auger which runs the length of the polypropylene hopper, the speed of this is controlled in cab by means of the control box. The spreading width of the salt is also controlled in cab by the spinner speed. The gritter is fitted with a heavy duty vibrate motor which can be engaged if the salt/grit bridges over or sticks.
